Healthy Snack Alert: Greek Yogurt & Fruit

I had this today and and it was delicious. I also had it the day before and it was equally delicious. The best part is that it's easy to make. Also, it's sweet and healthy.

I like things that are easy to make, and since all the effort this requires is some chopped strawberries, i'm all for it. This is all you need:
1. Chopped up Strawberries
2. Blueberries (or any fruit really)
3. Some kinds of granola (i had Kashi Go Lean Cruch)
4. Greek Yogurt (i had Karoun Mediterranean Non Fat)

Oh and I add a bit of organic honey because i'm still new to the flavor of plain Greek yogurt.
If you cut up the strawberries and wash the blueberries you can store them for a few days to keep enjoy this treat effortlessly.

Now go make it!

Jugo de Tamarido

Alrigh-t for you non-Spanish speakers, that title up there translates to: Tamarind Juice. This past weekend my mom made this little treat from scratch. While sipping on it, I was suddenly transported to elementary school. Yes, I'm talking to you 2nd grade class at Eucalyptus Elementary School. And no, I wasn't magically transported...more of a mental flashback but it felt really real.

What do a second grade me and and Tamarid Juice possible have in common? An entire class room of laughing at you children, that's what. Let me finally get to the point...

Back in you guessed it, 2nd grade, we had a class party. Every child was in charge of bringing some kind of treat or drink. I volunteered to bring juice. Most normal children would have brought some Kool-Aid or Sunny-D, both perfectly acceptable to the taste buds and visuals of a second grader. However, I requested my mom make my favorite drink, at that time, her home tamarind juice. If you are not familiar with Tamarind, check it out below and then google it for more images:
{source}

Looks pretty weird right? it's actually really tasty. Now, image what these guys look like floating in a juice. You getting a visual yet? As I proudly added my pitcher of tamarind juice to the collection in the back, I couldn't wait 'till the party! Around lunch time all the goods had been spread out and that my friends is when the laughing began. More like cruel mocking really. Some snarky boy in my class yelled out, "EWWWWWW Who brought the Poop Water?"

Let the emotional scarring begin. Good thing nobody saw me bring it in so nobody knew it was mine. I joined in on the laughing and pointing and "ewws" that were spread around while we were looking for a culprit. The teacher finally managed to calm everyone down and distracted everyone with soda and Oreo cookies.

I survived that one!  However I was not so lucky with the 6th grade oatmeal cookie debacle. Who doesn't like oatmeal cookies? My entire 6th grade class, that's who! I finally shared these stories with my mom, we both laughed until we had tears in our eyes and finished our tamarind juice.

Have a great weekend!

I Love: Celestial Green Tea

Whoa..I haven't been writing much. But I have been consuming a lot of Tea. A lot of Green Tea. A lot of Celestial Seasonings Green Tea. This is what happens when you can't drink coffee anymore. Why yes, coffee makes me sick even though I used to drink it every Sunday when I was 10 years old...might also explain my height. That and genetics. I have a cup as soon as I get in the office and one more in the afternoon. Sometimes a third cup if I'm working late. Which is pretty much every day anyway. I'm also officially obsessed with glass mugs.

But not only do I have to have my green tea, I have to have Celestial Seasonings brand. I don't know why. It just tastes better to me. Then I realized I always buy this brand. Sleepy Time tea...Chamomile tea...fruit teas...all Celestial. So I took a look at their website and was blown away by all the flavors that I have yet to try. I picked up the Honey Vanilla Chamomile and the Decaf Sweet Coconut Thai Chai recently. Both really yummy and if I just add some milk and honey to the chai one,  it's like I'm in heaven! And by heaven I mean thoroughly enjoying my other addiction...chai latte's. As much as this is starting to sound like I'm pushing a product here, I'm not. I just really believe this is great tea that you can purchase at your grocery store.

Anyways that's pretty much all I've been up to. Working late, still fixing the apartment, working late, not preparing for my trip to China, eating and drinking lots of tea.

Oh yeah, have I mentioned I'm going to China? No, well, guess what... I'm going to China next month. So if you have been there, let me know about your experience. Oh and see what I did there... with the green tea and the notice about China?? No? Oh well, that's because I'm a dork and you are much cooler than I. If you did get it...you are totally awesome and are much cooler than those that di not get it.

Making Cake Pops

Friday night I decided to make Cake Pops. They are exactly what they sound like they would be. Pops make out of cake. It all started with this lady: Bakerella. Then everyone and their Starbucks started making/selling them. I looked over the recipe and then looked at this blog to get a better picture of the process. I went to the store and bought everything, went home and winged it. As in I just made them based of what I remembered from reading earlier in the day. They are easy to make but pretty tedious.

Lesson I learned while making Cake Pops:
  • Don't over bake your cake, you need it to be moist not dry.  I didn't over bake on purpose i just wasn't careful.
  • Use about 3/4 can of frosting not just half.
  • Before melting the candy melts, lower the microwave temperature to low. VERY IMPORTANT!
  • Refrigerate the cake balls for at least 2 hours or 30 minutes in freezer before dipping. Not 30 minutes in fridge.
  • Dipping must be an art form, one that I am not talented in.
  • if you start at 10pm you will go to bed really late. but you will smell like cake.
  • 5. Next time don't just "wing it" look up directions.  Although, now I'm pretty sure I got it.
  • There is a reason they are expensive to order or buy.
  • You will get dirty...or frosty.
  • Even with all that, they are still really, really, freaking good!
  • They are like Pringles, you cant just eat one. Or five.

Have you tried them yet? If you are interested I know a pretty cool chick that makes them, and no i'm not self promoting I really do know someone that sells them: Betty Lou!

Taco Sauce Lessons

I really should have called this post "Death By Taco Sauce!" To be clear, no one died from taco sauce. At least none that I know of. You may want to Google it. Let me explain why...

A little while ago after watching a movie with Claudia, we decided to have something to eat and what I actually mean by that is: I was craving these spicy cucumbers from Taco Dollar (a dodgy looking taco truck in my equally dodgy part of my neighborhood) and made her go with me. Taco Dollar as you might have guesed sell tacos for $1. I dont have photos from that night but here is one I found online:
{source}
Although I called it dodgy, truth is, by taco truck standards this place is pretty legit. Not sure what their official hours of business are but they are open very, very late. They also have a parking lot, a security guard, and a DVD/CD "store."

So we pulled in, parked and walked on over to order 3 chicken tacos plus an horchata for me and 1 al pastor taco for her. We perused the "store" while we waited for our order. Once they were up I immediately stacked my plate with the cucumbers and then I was faced with a choice...what sauce to use? I had 3 tacos, there we 3 sauces. I had eaten there before but always had the tacos brought to me never had to choose anything. Common sense, or maybe even a little bit of a lapse in common sense due to hunger, led me to try all three. Three sauces for three tacos, done!
I was about 15 cucumbers and 1 green sauce taco down when I felt a little bit of a burn. Nothing I couldn't handle, it was actually a nice burn. I ate the second taco (I ate them in taco sauce order from left to right) and ate more cucumbers...still enjoying my burn. Then about two bites into the third taco with the red sauce when suddenly I really felt a burn. First, on my lips and slowly on my tounge then finally in the back of my mouth... I started to feel really hot and like I couldn't breath. Never having had this type of burn before, panic settled in and I thought I was about to die.

"Oh My God, Claudia! I can't Breathe! I can't Breath!" I may have repeated that about 10 times while I removed my jacket, scarf and rolled down the window...I felt a little like Yosemite Sam at this point. You know when you face scrunches when you eat something really sour? Well, apparently it happens to me when I eat something really spicy. So now I'm fanning myself, not breathing, my whole right side of my face is scrunched up, I'm pretty sure steam is coming out of my ears, my lips are swollen and my eye have started to water, not tear up...just full on water. I drank the horchata but it was no help. Claudia suggested I drink milk because it cures the burn. She doesn't know this, but I was thinking, "Where the *bleep* am I gonna get some milk sitting in my car in a taco stand parking lot!" Sorry, Claudia...she did however have chocolate covered popcorn in her purse. Milk chocolate covered popcorn. And yes it cured the burn!

A few days later I told The Boyfriend this story, I expected a chuckle but instead I got a lesson, "Don't you know the rule of thumb? The redder the sauce the hotter!" Obviously, no.

So there you have it. Two lessons in one post. 1) Redder = Hotter & 2) Milk chocolate covered popcorn = cure for spicy burn.

Valentine's Day Freebies

Last year's V-Day post I shared my view on the day and some retro cards. This year it's all about free stuff. Let's say you are 13 and can't afford a legit Valentine's day for that special someone, have I got a date for you! Or even if you are single I say go for it, it's totally doable with a friend...or stranger.

You need to start with dinner. Now here is a win win situation. Head to your local Qdoba. The deal is you kiss your valentine (or in their words "an understanding stranger" so even if single ...win win my freinds) and you get a free entree with the purchase of one.

After Dinner you need some dessert. What better dessert than a cookie? I don't know how good their cookies are but for free I'm willing to give them a review.

You may also want to have a warm drink, it's pretty chilly out. So head on over to Coffee Bean. If I can get two Chai Latte's I'm all in. You already know I love me some CB!

Finish of the night with a romantic movie in. Or a blooody action packed adventure, what ever floats your boat! You may want to reserve your movie though, Redbox's get empty quickly!

You need a gift right? Well Bath & Body Works has got you covered! Cherry Blossom is pretty awesome. They also have a Facebook freebie.

So there you have it! There are more freebies out there for today so enjoy! Just Google them. I'm liking the Krispy Kreme one too! Speaking of Goggling stuff, how completely, awesome-ly cute is Google's Doodle for today? Pretty darn-tootin awesome! It reminded me of me an The Boyfriend. I may or may not have shed a tear.

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

If You Like Green Piña Colada...Tea

I bought a Groupon for the Chado Tea House in Downtown a few months ago. Now, if you are like me, you buy these things and forget about them. Good thing I have this week off from work to take advantage of the oddly sunny and warm weather to enjoy some afternoon tea with my bff. Another tea lover like myself.
We shared 4 different sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea. It was enough for both of us to feel really stuffed at the end of our meal. We also got to take home some loose leaf teas. Including my new favorite Green Piña Colada Tea. We conversed through lunch while peeking between the sandwiches and scones. Literally, between them, since the table was so small.

After our lunch we took a little stroll around Little Tokyo and came across a wishing tree...
 so i made a wish...
There were many different types of wishes, for world peace, for love, for prosperity, well wishes for others, for babies, for friendships, and to meet Justin Bieber...seriously, to meet him? Oh well. Wonder what this person wished for...

We kept walking around trying to forget we had already stuffed ourselves so we could eat some sushi or Japanese curry...the smell was so numbingly decadent...but we remembered...

We rounded out our afternoon with a quick visit to a bookstore where Claudia got her Anime fix and I discovered a Korean series called "Boys Over Flowers." It looks riveting. By the way, only in Downtown LA will you drive through China and Mexico to get to Japan. All thanks to adventures in Groupon-ing. Tune in next time for the Jamba Juice Swirly Hunt, true story.

3 Day Diet

A little while ago a friend posted on Facebook about "The 3 day Diet" and its lose 10 pounds claim. I'm not sold easily on anything and I don't do diets. But just for kicks I looked at the link she provided and then told my two coworkers about it. They were in. So this past Monday we started our diet. The way is works is for three days you follow a strict meal plan precisely and this diet claims it “works on a chemical breakdown and is proven to work” and you are not allowed to substitute anything and only drink water, tea or black coffee.

First of all, nope, I don't need to go on a diet. I did it more for experimental purposes than anything else. Also, I do not believe nor expect to lose 10 pounds. Let my first ever dieting experiment begin.

Breakfast: 1/2 Grapefruit, 1 slice toast, 2 TBS. Peanut Butter
Lunch: 1/2 cup tuna, 1 slice toast, coffee or tea
Dinner: 3 oz any meat (we chose grilled chicken), 1 cup beets, 1 cup green beans, 1 small apple, 1 cup vanilla ice  cream
We started this really late in the day because we forgot about it and bought groceries last minute. So we ate breakfast at 1pm. Lunch at 3 and dinner at 6. Yeah, it was tough. We were not happy by dinner time. Mostly because it had only been a few hours since we ate lunch and breakfast. We kept whining like little kids that don't want to eat their vegetable. But that ice cream was good! Overall, it wasn't a bad meal combination at all. Lesson learned: 1 cup of anything is A LOT of food.

Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 slice toast, 1 banana
Lunch: 1 cup cottage cheese, 5 saltine crackers
Dinner: 2 hot dogs, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
This day was actually pretty easy. We spaced out the meal further apart, and that helped so much. Although I did feel really hungry around 10pm that night. Really hungry, but I didn't cheat. Lesson learned: all of that food is less than 900 calories.

Breakfast: 1 hard-boiled egg, 1 slice toast,
Lunch: 5 saltine crackers, 1 oz. cheddar cheese, 1 small apple
Dinner: 1 cup tuna, 1 cup beets, 1 cup cauliflower, 1/2 cantaloupe, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

I was angry by this day. The hunger from last night had doubled by breakfast and one little egg and a slice of toast did not cut it!  Lunch was pleasant but it felt more like a big snack and dinner...dinner was the worst! Too much food,  and even though I was hungry I couldn't finish it all. Lesson learned. I don't like plain tuna. I like tuna melt sandwiches. 1 cup of tuna is too much tuna for any human being to eat in one sitting.

Overall Weight Loss: Me: 2lbs, Coworker 1: 4lbs. Coworker 2: 6 lbs.

Bottom Line: I always do my research before trying things out. But not this time, I did it halfway through and guess what? It's a fad diet that is floating around the Internet. It's origin reads like an urban legend. There are different versions of this diet although most of them stick really close to what is above. Some even claim to be associated with a medical facility like Birmingham Hospital, Kaiser, Cleavland clinic, although no official record exists. They all claim it works on a "chemical breakdown" but when you really examine this diet it's just a low calorie meal plan. Very low calorie. Depending on how you prepare your food (only salt and pepper is allowed for seasoning) and what brands/options you choose to eat you are consuming between 600- 1200 calories each day, if you are eating double or triple this normally well duh! You will drop some weight. While it looks harmless enough, after all you do eat veggies and you get to have ice cream every day, it's really not that great and by the third day I felt a little weak and tired. Being in starvation mode lowers your metabolism which results in making it harder to loose weight. The weight you do lose is temporary, think about it. It's only 3 days and then you go back to normal... as in the weight you lost is back too. Plus we didn't include any exercise. I think I would have passed out if I had. I know what I should and should not eat so in the end this diet didn't harm or help me and only made me more sure of the fact that dieting is not for me. Truthfully, I will not recommend this to anyone. Plus I would have cracked had I been on my own after day 1.

Here are the good things that came out of this: I realized I really enjoyed having breakfast in the morning, I pretty much already knew that but I usually only have a decent one on the weekends. Now my coworkers and I plan on making breakfast every day (we have a full kitchen to use). Also, seeing the calories being counted, thanks to the myfitnesspal app, I learned that measuring your food and calorie counting is a little difficult and time consuming but sometimes it really puts things in perspective. I won't be calorie counting but definitely am a little more aware of the big differences in foods and some surprising ones. A cup of baby carrots (47) or 1 Oreo cookie (53) hmmm...I guess carrots it is. But I'll probably sneak in a cookie once in a while.

So, while your diet is your business, here are my 2 cents: I say skip the fad diets. Just learn how to eat well because we all should anyway. Want to loose weight? Well, I can't help there, but maybe just do some research, make sure it's backed by professionals or ask your doctor. Oh and exercise. I eat when I'm hungry and I do indulge my cravings for baked goods once in a while.

Now I'm off to have a piece of the chocolate croissant my other coworkers brought in to help us celebrate the end of our diet. They were soooo supportive through out the 3 days (it's hard to read but that last sentence was full of sarcasm.) Just a piece thought.... maybe... I'm not making any promises.

♥always,
Marisol

pssst.... I only had 3 bites of croissant, but a very good balanced breakfast!

I love: Zico Coconut Water

I may have found a new obsession. Actually, I think I have official passed obsession and have landed on addiction. I'm addicted to this stuff. Zico Pure Premium Coconut Water. I hijacked my local Trader Joe's for some today.

I remember when my mom would buy coconuts at the store and crack them open for their juice. You didn't get much but it was so yummy. Then I would take a spoon and scrape the white stuff for a snack...yum...every time I sip this stuff, that's what it reminds me of. Plus apparently this coconut water is really good for you too. Well, the marketing says it is... no time for research must have a drink!

These are self portraits with an iPhone camera so please excuse the grittiness...although I like it so lets just say that I'm artsy like that and did it on purpose. For some reason I now have this song stuck in my head:
You put the lime in the coconut, drink them both up,
You put the lime in the coconut, drink them both up,
You put the lime in the coconut, drink them both up,

I Love The Coffee Bean

Did you guys get your free drink yesterday? You know I did!! I went with the Mocha Mint Chip.

It was delicious!! You know those Andes mint chocolates you get at the end of a meal in restaurants? Well throw in some coffee to that flavor and you got this drink!

My co-worker suggested we sit and enjoy the sun while we enjoyed our drinks...I have the slight sunburn to prove we really did. I also really seem to be enjoying this mustard yellow cardigan it's like the 4th time I wear it in two weeks.

Meet Hayley, my coworker.

Totally worth the $1 that went into the tip jar!

Over the Weekend: Dance Attack, Sushi and BAD Movies

I love busy weekends like the one I just had. The only little problem is that I feel tired all day Monday. I suggested nap time at work after lunch but my boss just didn't go for it.  Co-workers were disappointed as well.

I'm going to start with Saturday night. Only because this is my favorite picture of the weekend! I went to dinner with my friend, Marissa at Hara Sushi. Best sushi EVER!! It's this small, crowded and loud place in LA but so worth it. Plus very easy on the price! We then went to the west side pavilion to watch Something Borrowed. It was funny but not original. Very predictable and obvious. In the end we felt conflicted rooting for Jennifer Goodwin's character, she slept with her best friend's fiance. He cheated on his fiance with her best friend. No matter the situation, that is not OK. They played it well though, because Kate Hudson's character is very vain, selfish and not likable. Oh well. Still had a good time with my friend and was entertained.

I started my Saturday morning by working out.............. now that you are done reacting,  I got up and went for a run at the track on Aviation. Of course by run I mean jog....or walk a lot and run a little. Hey, the point is I got up and got moving! Around 11am we (we includes The Boyfriend and his nephew aka The Nephew) headed over to the Santa Monica Festival. We were planning on just taking The Nephew to go see Ozomatli do their Ozokids music show and then leave but we ended up staying the whole day. There were lots of vendors, giving free samples, lots of arts and crafts for kids and of course the always present food trucks. Some of Gerardo's friends also joined us that day. We of course took the nice fancy camera to take lots of photos but some one forgot to bring the memory card. So all I have a few iPhone shots:
The Nephew had a grumpy "I don't want to be here" face for most of the morning until he was promised a new transformers toy to have fun. When asked what his favorite part of the day was "Throwing the man in the water."

I call this one, Firemen on Break.

We stood in line for half an hour just to get a hot dog. You gotta love those food trucks. We laid down on a blanket to have lunch only to have front and center view to the Dance Attack show. Um...let's just say there were men in cheetah print leotards and hot pink unitards prancing about. If you don't know what a unitard is then you don't ever need to. We left tired, but happy. Oh and I scored new pretty hand made jewelry thanks to my date :)

Sunday did not go according to my plans but it was still a pleasant day. Late morning, went to two mother's day lunches (more on this later). I spent the evening watching a really, really, really bad movie. If anyone ever asks if you want to watch "Cyrus". Run! I'm serious. Overall this entire weekend was mostly not what I planned but sometimes it can turn out better that way.

Marisol

The Day After Cinco De Mayo

It's May 6th. Or more appropriately Seis De Mayo. Nothing special is celebrated today - Correction - I Just found out that 6th of May it is actually International No Diet Day!! Now I don't feel bad for having a plateful of burrito/quesadilla/nachos for lunch at work. Plus, how appropriate is it that I woke up craving chilaquiles (a Mexican breakfast dish) on both days? But alas, there was no time for me to make some. Nor do I actually know how to make some. Good thing I have plenty of great friends, three whom so kindly have promised to make me some. The competition is on Karla, Veronica and Doreen!! But I will probably love all 3 anyway.

Speaking of food, Mexico and friends... We had a mini Cinco De Mayo dinner last night. Everyone made/bought food and we sat around listening to Veronica tell her horror travel stories. Listened to some Mariachi and ate a lot of food. Specially, a lot of beans! For some reason, Veronica decided that a giant pot of beans was necessary. And some gooooood flan for dessert.

There was some confusion on what I was supposed to bring. They were all under the impression that I would be "making" ceviche. Well, I made the time to go buy some so it counts.
Doreen, drunk of Horchata!
Dont bother us, we're eating!

Yes It is!

laughing at Veronica s comment...You had to be there!
That may or may not have been my third helping of beans...

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Lots of fun and great home cooked/store bought/ restaurant ordered food was had by all :)

And please, please tell me that you know what was celebrated yesterday. Please tell me that you know it was not Mexico's Independence Day. That would be September 16. I will let Wikipedia inform you some more. What? Wikipedia is reliable!

I still don't understand why it's such a big deal in the US, there will even be a parade around my neighborhood this weekend. ut whatever, fun is had, food is eaten and plenty of drinks are had. Que viva Mexico! Hope you had a great Cinco De Mayo and Seis De Mayo aka International No Diet Day! And while I'm at it Siete & Ocho De Mayo.

Over The Weekend: Birthday, Birthday and SAP

I had quite a busy weekend! Two birthdays and one sap. What is a sap? Well, you will just have to keep reading to learn about that.

First of, Saturday. This day was a beautiful day. Bright and sunny. I LOVE living in southern California. While most of the country is suffering from the evils of cold weather, I can wear shorts and sunglasses. But anywho...Costco on Saturday is madness! Avoid at all costs! Had lunch with Karen, we had some Johnny Rockets and when the bill came she said "I got this." Awww Snap! Then we did some shopping. Bought me a pretty new dress (A whole post about this dress is coming, that's how pretty it is and how much I love it!) and an orange owl. The orange owl will be back in some final Bedroom Makeover post...someday...

That night I went over to Claudia's for her hubs b-day. Sat around with my friends where a whole lot of topics came up. We went from bad strippers to plastic surgery. I refused to eat some birria (Aome beef dish. Beef..eew) but enjoyed a carb-loaded plate of beans, rice and tortillas. During conversation I made up the worn "Centimiterige," you know like mileage? Well, it made sense at the time. I mean if only 1 out of 5 people questioned the validity of the word, that's pretty good.  After some more conversation it was time for me to come home and make cupcakes. Birthday Party number 1 down, time to prep for Birthday number 2.
I WOULD REALLY LIKE FOR YOU TO COME UP WITH A CAPTION FOR THIS PHOTO! WINNER GETS A CHOCOLATE BAR OR SOMETHING...(Doreen was not harmed in the taking of this photo)

I'm never the tall one, I'm just wearing really high heels. Yes Doreen, is channeling some Sandy/Olivia Newton John moment here.

I was up till like 2am making these chocolate fudge cupcakes. Only for you little sister. Karen turned 22 on Sunday. We had a birthday party for her at our house. Lots of family, friends and food. And lots of fudge everywhere. Like, seriously, I had fudge everywhere. I kept finding it on me throughout the day. Wait a minute...I just said "Like" on my blog. The last time I val-wrote on here it was on purpose. This time was just me, hahaha. I'm a fresa sometimes! (Fresa = Spanish for Valley Girl).
I look pretty hot in that apron. It's been a while since I made cupcakes. Lesson reminded: Don't fill the cups up this much they will come out looking like muffins and not cupcakes! However...not really a problem in hindsight :)
We said the party started at 2pm. We had guest arriving from 1:30 to 5:30 pm. We expected everyone around 3pm,  so when some people showed up early we were baffled. Who shows up early? Didn't they get the Latino memo. If the Party starts at 2 that means the party starts at 3. But then again maybe we should start working on that.

It got chilly pretty quickly once the sun went down -- well chilly for us is like 67 degree weather -- so inside the house we all went. Watched The Proposal. Took a short nap during The Proposal, almost snuggled with my sister's friend in a sleepy haze because I thought it was my sister...awkward...woke up right at the end of The Proposal, then got ready for my SAP.

Well my readers, you made it through. Time to solve the SAP mystery. There is Valentine's Day and then there's Singles Appreciation/Awareness Day. Hence SAP = Singles Appreciation Party or SAP = Singles Awareness Party. Yes, that's it. That's what you had to sit there and read this entire post so you could find out what the heck a SAP was. I'm sorry.

So back to my SAP. It sounds like something kind of cool though right, like a bunch of single people getting together and meeting and having a good time, enjoying some food, drinks and being single! Well, it is and ours was just like that...except it was just 5 girls eating chips and ceviche, drinking wine and watching the Grammy's. But I promise it was fun. I had a great time. I laughed. A lot. There was a time when my stomach started to hurt from the laughter. My favorite lines from that night, which wont make sense to you since you had to be there but I think are so funny I'm going to write them anyway, are: "I'm a C", "Call the Verizon Hot Line" and "Do the Bernie!"

Definitely, a great weekend. Lots of food, fun and love. I leave you with this cute little card I found on Etsy:
